Seppala Kennels:
Home of the SSSD

PRINCE IVAN OF SEPPALA is a magnificent Seppala Siberian Sleddog male, the personal companion of J. Jeffrey Bragg.

Known informally as "Hotshot," "Vanya" or "Vanni-van," he is very closely bonded to his owner Jeffrey. He follows me about in the house and settles down to sleep at my feet or behind my chair when I sit to work, read or relax.

Prince Ivan's sire was Pyotr of Seppala (Shakal iz Solovyev x Zirconia of Sepp-Alta). His dam was the Queen of Seppala Kennels, Tonya of Seppala (Xpace of Seppalta x River View's Sprite). Through old Zirconia the strong presence of Uelen's Beowulf of Sepp-Alta is felt (Zirc's sire), balanced by the gentle sweetness of Powder of Markovo who was the dam of both Zirconia and Sprite. Vanya is three-quarters Markovo-Seppala, but the Russian import influence is still powerful, evidenced by this boy's drive and intensity. Vanya runs in front of a bicycle like a natural leader. If ever I should be so fortunate as to drive dogs again, I know that my lead pair will be Vanni and Lizzy.
